I’ve been writing poetry for over two decades and I can’t think of a more magical way to get to know a person than to create a poem just for them.
I offer Typewriter Poetry, Tarot + Wax-Sealed Party Favors for private events, weddings, themed festivals and any gathering that could use a little magic in Portland, OR and beyond.

Typewriter Poetry
Guests give a prompt, theme or word of their choice and receive a custom poem within minutes. Stationery and booth are themed to match your event.

Oracle Typewriter Poetry
Features a mini-oracle card reading of about 3-5 minutes where guests select a card, and give a prompt (theme or word) that they want their poem to embody.

Poetic Fortunes
Poetic Fortunes are small wax-sealed mementos inspired by the art of language. They feature an original 1–2 line poem selected by a random word of inspiration, making every fortune a personal little treasure. Each one is printed on ornate stationery and sealed by hand.

Tarot Fortunes
Tarot Fortunes are magical artifacts that are sure to add another dimension to your event! They feature an original 1–2 line poem inspired by a randomly drawn tarot card and its symbolism. Each includes a gold foil tarot card.

A hybrid offering that blends a tarot reading with live typewriter poetry. You receive both the insight of a reading and a handwritten poem inspired by it, made in the moment!

Typewriter Poetry: Guests share a word, feeling, memory, or short prompt, and receive an original poem, composed live on a typewriter, in just a few minutes. It's improvised and unique to that moment no two poems are alike, and guests walk away with a physical, keepsake copy.
Tarot Reading: Guests sit down for a one-on-one reading where cards are drawn and interpreted in the moment. Expect personal, reflective conversation that makes the person feel comfortable while communicating the message that is coming through. The reading can focus on a specific question or offer more general insight, depending on what the guest is looking for.
Oracle Typewriter Poetry: This combines both a short tarot reading and a typewriter poem. Tarot is drawn first, communicated in a short reading and then translated into a live, typewritten poem inspired by what came up in the cards. Guests get the personal insight of a reading and a one-of-a-kind poem to take home, all in a single sitting!

I have specialized in writing poetry for multiple decades at this point believe it or not and have been sharing tarot readings for well over a decade. I have written hundreds of typewriter poems, many of which my clients have even framed on their walls!

I'm based in Portland, OR and serve Portland and the surrounding area. I'm also available to travel farther for events, for an additional travel fee.

This depends on the offering.
Typewriter Poetry is pretty flexible. I can accommodate smaller, more intimate gatherings (10-50) or even larger gatherings from (50-100 people, potentially more depending on the poem length - see haiku!)
Tarot Readings require about 10-15 minutes each to feel worthwhile to people, so gatherings that have multiple experiences planned work best. I also have a few unique tarot readers I work with that I can highly recommend. I can accomodate around 5-7 people per hour.
Oracle Typewriter Poetry is similar to the tarot readings. I can usually accomodate between 5-7 people per hour.
Wax-Sealed Fortunes (available in my shop) are a great way to supplement for larger parties (100+) and can be great for those who might be on the shyer side, or don’t want to sit for 1:1 experience.

Pricing depends on the type of event, season, length of service, and travel distance. Reach out by email for a custom quote. Wax-sealed fortunes are listed for purchase in my shop.

Booking is directly through email (a form is listed below). Include your event date, location, and which service (or combination) you're interested in.

For events I require a 2-hour minimum booking (with the exception of typewriter poetry events with guests between 10-20 people). Typically, I am booked between 3-5 hours depending on the length of event and desired offering.

Yes, these experiences are appropriate for all ages. I have written poetry and given tarot readings to children and adults alike, and even furry friends! I will tailor my writing and tarot readings to my audiences.
